Case 15

What is the diagnosis?

Irritated dysplastic junctional naevus.

A clear demonstration of growth in this lesion is accompanied by structural changes. The dermoscopy in October 2003 revealed a slightly irregular blotchy brown lesion and no specific features of concern. Five months later, there are some areas of irregular network, greater variability in the colour distribution and a suggestion of blue-white veil. It was removed for histology but proved benign.
