New DermNet PRO feature: Profile page
As part of DermNet PRO, you have the opportunity to create a public profile page.
This is a dynamic and detailed profile that showcases your expertise, achievements, and contributions to dermatology. It’s a great way to enhance your professional presence especially in the dermatology space.
Whether you are a student, young professional, or seasoned expert, a DermNet profile is a great way to display your experience and interest in dermatology.
Key features:
- Bio: Share your background, your journey in medicine and what drives your passion for healthcare.
- Cases contributed: We encourage all users of DermNet PRO to publish case studies as this is a great short format way to learn dermatology. All your contributed and approved cases will be displayed on your profile.
- Volunteer positions and projects: DermNet PRO will have many volunteering opportunities and your profile will list your contributions. Whether you’ve managed a project, written or reviewed content, or contributed in any capacity, this section will highlight your dedication to the field of dermatology.
- Professional memberships: You can list any professional organisations and affiliations you may have.
- Awards and recognitions: Any awards and other accolades can be displayed on your profile.
- Affiliated institutions:
- Include your connections with reputable institutions.
- Whether you are affiliated with hospitals, universities, or research institutions, this section builds your credibility and professional network.
- Training undertaken:
- Outline training programs, residencies, fellowships, and continuous education courses you’ve completed, whether with DermNet or external.
- Outline in-progress or upcoming programs.
- Qualifications:
- List your degrees, certifications, and specialisations.
- This section provides a clear picture of your formal education and expertise.
- Merit Points, tiers, and badges:
- You can earn recognition within the DermNet PRO system through volunteering and getting involved in projects.
- Merit points are earned for volunteering hours and can be used to get discounts on education, subscriptions and products.
- Your profile will feature your merit points and tiers achieved.
- Contact information:
- List your details to allow communication with other healthcare professionals and expand your network (optional)
Having a profile on DermNet PRO is a great way to get recognition on a highly regarded website as well as provide a place where patients and colleagues can learn more about you.
Attaining a public profile page will be restricted to individuals who have completed a volunteer activity. You can read more about volunteering here.
