Is it free?

How much does DermNet PRO cost?

DermNet is founded on the principle of providing dermatology information free to the world and we aren’t changing that.

DermNet PRO will be free, forever.

The core functionality of DermNet PRO which includes access to our sophisticated search, all topic pages, images, cases, quizzes, patient information sheets, volunteering, bios, the merit system and more, will be free.

But is it really free?

Yes it really is free. 100% free.

To use DermNet PRO all you need is to be a healthcare professional and that’s it, no credit card, subscription, or payment necessary.

Will there be any paid features?

We will be making the core functionality of DermNet PRO freely available to all HCP’s for no cost.

However, there will be optional paid features should you want them.

Some examples of features we may charge for in the future are: removing ads; certificate and diploma education courses; access to dermatologists for a second opinion; and our planned patient management software. If we create an app in the future we may need to charge a minimal fee for this too to cover additional maintenance costs.

With any paid features, we aim to keep the fees as low as possible.

We are committed to making DermNet PRO the best online dermatology resource available with the core functionality free and as much as possible of the optional features free as well.

I am so thankful for DermNet! I have been using this site for all those exciting rashes, etc., that everyone hates to see - and not know for sure what the [likely] diagnosis is. When I worked for the Civilian Army Med Corps, the dermatologists were overwhelmed with referrals and they would refuse to see what they considered "run-of-the-mill" cases and told the family/internal med docs, NPs, and PAs to evaluate/diagnose/treat and not just refer to them unless we had done the best we could for the diagnosis made. (Of course, if it was NOT run-of-the-mill, that was a different story and a definite appointment!) Since then, I have used this great resource regularly and have recommended it ever since. I look forward to the Pro version for professionals! Thank you!
