DermNet PRO is here

Published: 29 April, 2025

Thank you for your patience — we're excited to announce that DermNet PRO is officially rolling out in May 2025! Access will only be given to those on the waitlist. If you haven’t already, be sure to join the waitlist and invite your healthcare professional friends and colleagues to do the same.

Please note: DermNet PRO is exclusively available to healthcare professionals and medical students. You’ll need to provide your professional registration number when signing up.

If you’re already on the waitlist, you can expect your invitation to sign up within the next 10 days.

Dashboard

Your dashboard is your main home page and features cards to give you quick access to various tools.

Some of the cards on the dashboard are:

  • Announcements and featured pages
  • Feature requests - where you can suggest features and vote on features others have suggested
  • Popular resources based on your profession
  • Your favourite pages, images, cases, and patient information leaflets
  • Quick access to your profile

Search

The best way to engage with content on DermNet PRO is through search.

We have designed the search from the ground up to allow you to get answers instantly without needing to read a specific topic page if you don’t want to.

You will find the search at the top of the site and it is available from every page.

You can ask any dermatology query you want and it will find you answers from within DermNet.

The search features:

  • DermNet AI summary which sumarises DermNet content to provide you a quick answer
  • Images
  • Topic pages
  • Verbatim sentences from DermNet topic pages that when you click on them will take you to that specific section on the page

The best way to search is to use the topic page name and then a couple of keywords that you are wanting to know about. For example you could ask:

  • How long does molluscum contagiosum last
  • Who does molluscum contagiosum affect
  • What are the complications of molluscum contagiosum
  • molluscum contagiosum images
  • molluscum contagiosum location

Subscription

Tired of ads on DermNet, you can subscribe for a small fee of $4 USD per month, or $40 USD per year to remove them. Your subscription will remove ads while at the same time contribute to continual improvement and more features on the platform.

Patient information leaflets

Access PDF patient information leaflets on various conditions. You can email leaflets directly to your patients or print them in hard copy directly from the site.

We are adding more patient information leaflets regularly to this section and will notify you when new ones are available.

Favourites

If you want to save a topic page, image, case study, or patient information leaflet you can do this simply by tapping the heart located at the top of each page.

These favorites will then be displayed on your favorites page.

You can enable this during the signup process.
